DON'T GET IT TWISTED . . .JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE WHOLE WORLD HAS CHANGED.
CHECK OUT THIS STORY THAT WAS SENT TO ME FROM MS. NAJAH MUHAMMAD (thanks).
A young man went to "Journey's" (shoe store) in Kansas City , MO. He bought a pair of shoes and then saw an identical pair at a different store for less. As such, he bought the identical shoes from Kcheaper store and took back the original more pricey pair to Journey's. Later on that night, as we has reviewing the receipt, he noticed that the reason for the return was "Dumb N*gger".
When he took the receipt back to the store, they didn't even apologize but did admit that the "reason" Dumb N*gger was in the stores' computer system.

While this blog is not only viewed by African Americans, Blacks, Latinos and other people of color, I hope that anyone reading this blog would not frequent this establishment. Whatever your faith is I hope they don't encourage this type of behavior.

Wow.
Here's hoping that's one store that doesn't get a federal bailout!
Anyway, I just wanted to say check out your blog Cous'! I update mine intermittently. But stay tuned next week, as I will do a whole retrospective on my trip to DC for the inauguration!
Hopefully we'll be able to catch up SOME time this year!
